The South Central Kansas Medical Center Radiology department recently completed their 2017 KDHE inspection with zero deficiencies reported. The inspection included an in-depth review with the department’s policies and procedures, including quality control, staff credentialing and continuing education, and patient follow-up.

A new concept in health and wellness for Cowley County opened its doors earlier this month. Cowley HealthWoRX is a direct primary care clinic formed through a partnership between South Central Kansas Medical Center and Revere Healthcare Solutions Inc. (RHS). Located on the medical center campus at 6403 Patterson Parkway in Ark City, the clinic hopes to be a catalyst for improved health within the community by emphasizing preventative healthcare.

There’s not much time to spare when you perform over 75,000 tests each year, but the team is taking a moment to celebrate this week. April 22-28 is National Laboratory Professionals Week, the annual celebration began in 1975 and provides an opportunity to increase public awareness and appreciation for the U.S.’s 300,000 clinical laboratory personnel.

South Central Kansas Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of a lift chair to our facility. This chair features a powered lifting mechanism that pushes the entire chair up from its base to help the user obtain a standing position. The lift chair was graciously purchased by the SCKMC Auxiliary for use in our Outpatient Services Department (OPS).
