Dr. Scarbrough grew up in Wichita, KS, graduating from Goddard High School in 1989. He attended Kansas State University and received his degree in Electrical Engineering in 1995 before he attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After graduating from KU Med in 1999, he completed his residency in combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in 2003.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Senior Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He has been a hospitalist for over 10 years at both large tertiary care centers and small rural hospitals .
His interests outside of the hospital include triathlons, ultimate frisbee golf, and soccer.
